Version 1.1 Changes



  • Added new publishing templates created by Marlyse Comte of mStudios. There are now 3 offered, the original, a Simple colorful one with several color options, and another called SpringGreen.

  • Added a new recipe and note style for the display of recipes and notes in the application.

  • Added many new options for printing, including printing on 3x5 and 4x6 Avery cards, ranging from simple to more colorful two column printouts. The printing is all HTML/CSS based, so others can add new ones if desired.

  • It is now possible to add custom display, publishing and printing templates to the application, using the available "MacGourmet Template Kit." (available soon)



  • General: Fixed swapped "starts with" and "ends with" find queries.

  • General: Updated the eSellerate registration engine.



  • General UI: Items can now be rated in the tables, and the star graphic has been replaced with something simpler.

  • General UI: If you hold down the option key, when the "My Lists" table is selected, the "Add List" button changes to "Add Smart Recipe List" until the key is released.

  • General UI: It's now possible to create clippings by pasting copied text into the clippings list.

  • General UI: It's now possible to create clippings by dragging and dropping text into the clippings list.

  • General UI: Cleaned up some item selection issues.

  • General UI: Names too long to fit in a column row are now shown using an "..." character.

  • General UI: Drag and drop to text fields in Recipe Import Assistant now works.

  • General UI: When entering data in a table the current list match in the drop down list is now selected when possible.

  • General UI: Drag and drop of multiple recipe files is now handled more smoothly.

  • General UI: Added new split view support that allows either recipe box list, or both recipe box lists to be completely collapsed.

  • General UI: Minor visual changes.

  • General UI: It's now possible to delete multiple rows at once in the recipe and note editors.

  • General UI: When a new row is added to the table in an editor, the added row is selected and put into edit mode.



  • Shopping list recipe ingredients for shopping lists with multiple recipes are now combined when possible.

  • Shopping lists now can be exported in HandyShopper, SplashShopper and text formats.

  • Shopping lists can now have sort order specified which is used for display and export.

  • Shopping lists now respect a recipe's scaled quantities.

  • Shopping list table lists are now updated correctly and use recipe ingredient and item lists.

  • Shopping lists now show the recipe names for each ingredient in the list.

  • Shopping lists: Fixed a bug that was causing the store and description columns to get switched.

  • Shopping lists: added toolbar tool for creating shopping lists.



  • .Mac Publishing: Images now get permanent names related to the recipe file name, rather than randomly generated ones.

  • .Mac Publishing: Added dialog signaling a successful publication and means to open the browser to the new site for you.

  • .Mac Publishing: The "Publish" menu is now sorted alphabetically



  • Import/Export: Items can now be deleted from the "Last Import" list without deleting them from the database.

  • Import/Export: MasterCook preparation times are now imported as "Start to finish" times.

  • Import/Export: Fixed various import/export problems.

  • Import/Export: Fixed problems sending email when Eudora is the default email client.



  • Samples: New users are now able to load a sample pack of recipes the first time they run the application, or when the database is empty. The Sample Pack includes a selection of recipes from sources like RealCajunRecipes.com, and EclecticCooking, among others.
