Version 2.2

Version 2.2.0 is a free update for registered users and includes the following changes:

  • [UI] Added new "widescreen" preference that reconfigures your recipe box to display in 3 columns, like Address Book.

  • [UI] Added new "summary" table view that can be toggled with a button press to show more things in a taller but narrower space.

  • [Find] Added new "Find Duplicates" search command to the Find menu that looks for potential duplicate recipes in your collection and returns them in a Find list search result.

  • [Plug-ins] Add new plug-in installer mechanism for plug-in packages. New plug-ins can be installed simply by double-clicking the package files.

  • [Themes] Added source info to display templates.

  • [Themes] Added summary to display templates.

  • [Themes] Improved unordered lists in display and publishing templates. Note that if you are using "add-on" themes that you'll want to download new versions.

  • [Smart Lists] Lists using Category "doesn't contain" in the find criteria no longer bring back recipes that do have that category.

  • [Smart Lists] Smart lists no longer call their database query even when empty. This should speed things up a lot for those of you with many smart lists.

  • [Scaling] Changed assumption of ounces to be weight instead of volume. Fluid ounces should now be used for volumes.

  • [Editor] Fixed a problem where ingredients list was staying read only after scaled recipe was saved.

  • [Database] Removed limit on total number of sources that you can choose from in the auto-complete lists.

  • [General] Updated the registration library. You may be asked to Activate your copy once on each Mac you are using, but this is normal, and should only happen the one time.

  • [General] Moved Spotlight index files to Library/Caches/Metadata

  • [Import-Export] Adding file comment during export of a single cooking note no longer throws an error.

  • [Editor] Improved the display of a large selection of categories in the editor
